Recomendation Type : Hybrid weighted scoring model
The API uses a hybrid weighted scoring model to rank recommendations based on a mix of categorical logic and aesthetic attributes. When a product is selected, the system first consults an intelligent dictionary that maps items to their logical complements, such as matching a dining table with a dining chair. It simultaneously scans the database for items with a matching Product finish to maintain visual consistency. These factors are calculated within a weighted SQL query that assigns 10 points for a dictionary match and 5 points for a finish match, ensuring the most relevant products appear at the top of the list.
